Welcome to my series of writeups for n00bzunit3d 2024 capture-the-flag competition. In this post, we look at the OSINT/The Gang challenge. The challenge asks to find out if a “John Doe” has recently joined n00bzunit3d. It then hints towards the team page. We could not find any links to the team page so we had to google around for a bit. Going through the list of users in the members page, the last one is of John Doe whose profile had the flag.
